A lot of people are frustrated when your toilet decides to clog up after you use it today. Some don’t have a plunger available, and even if you have a plunger, sometimes plunging the toilet still doesn’t work. Written below are some of the solutions on how to unblock toilet in Sydney, NSW. The things you’ll need are a large pot, water, and liquid dish soap. With this method, you won’t need to use a plunger or any chemicals to unclog your toilet.

Boil Some Water

The first step is to take one of your biggest pots and fill it up with water. Put the pot on the stove and start heating the container for it to boil. The trick to having the water boil faster is not to put any lid on the pot.

Squirt Some Dish Soap in the Bowl

plumberIf you wash the dishes at your house, chances are you have a bottle of liquid dish soap. This is the second item on our list to unclogging our toilet using everyday household items.

Take the bottle of dish soap, bring it to the bathroom and squirt a decent amount of liquid dishwashing soap inside the bowl. You don’t need to put a considerable amount of dishwashing soap just enough for the soap to sink to the toilet’s bottom. If, by coincidence, you ran out of dish soap the same time the clog happened, shampoo or liquid hand soap can also be used for this method of unclogging your toilet.

The idea is that the liquid dishwashing soap will act as grease to the pipes allowing any clogged toilet paper to slide down the tubes, unclogging the toilet. You may need to let the liquid dishwashing soap to sit and soak in the bathroom for twenty to thirty minutes depending on how bad the clog is.

Pour Hot Water into the Toilet

After your pot of water has finished boiling, turn off the stove and transfer the boiled water to a smaller container. The smaller container is to minimize the possible splashing for this procedure.

Take your container of hot water from the kitchen and bring it to the toilet. Carefully and slowly pour the hot water into the bowl. Do this step smoothly and slowly to avoid making a mess in your already clogged toilet.

Flush the Toilet

If done properly, the liquid dishwashing soap will act as a lubricant. This means that anything clogged in the pipes will be able to slide down. The hot water helped break the jammed toilet paper into pieces and flushed everything down the pipes with the lubricant or the liquid dishwashing soap.

If you notice that the water on the toilet starts going down, the unclogging method worked. Press the toilet flush again when you think that the toilet will not overflow to push more water down the toilet.

Do It Again

Don’t give up if you tried this method, and the toilet is still clogged. Depending on the severity of the clog, you can repeat the process once or twice.
